Notes:
NightshotwithBob.jpg was taken using the "Slow" flash setting. Pretty neat effect. This setting delays the flash so that the background can be exposed first. Then the flash triggers to fill in the foreground. Sorry about the bathrobe! I was amazed to see that the city lights came out so well.
DSC00034.jpg was taken using the VGA "motor drive" mode. This is a continuous mode that takes 2 frames per second as long as the shutter is held down. This is a 640x480 res. as indicated in the thumbnail. This mode offers an easy way to get the exact shot you want, since you can then choose between, say, ten or twenty. Then delete the ones where people's eyes are closed, etc. You could also use a program like ThumbsPlus to present a "slide show" cycling bewteen the frames at a rapid rate (set the time between frames during playback) to simulate a somewhat jerky movie effect.
DSC00011.jpg was taken quickly as a man walked down the street. The car and man were moving. The action was stopped fairly well in this photo. Overall, the Nikon is not terrific at freezing motion, as it doesn't have aperature priority modes. But this one came out OK. If the lighting is bright enough, stop-action photos turn out better, obviously. In lower light, the exposure will be longer, resulting in blurring.
Danatwork.jpg was actually taken using the Wide-angle adaptor. But since it is a people picture, I put it on this page.
